Labster Earns Best Virtual or Augmented Reality App or Tool in 2023 Tech Edvocate Awards

September 7, 2023

BOSTON — SEPTEMBER 7, 2023 — Labster, the world's leading edtech platform for virtual labs and interactive science courseware, has been named a 2023 Tech Edvocate Award winner in the Best Virtual or Augmented Reality App or Tool category.

With Labster, students explore interactive STEM curriculum-aligned virtual lab simulations in state-of-the-art laboratories from their digital devices. Labster has been proven to boost student enthusiasm, engagement, and learning outcomes. Labster simulations are especially useful as pre- and post-lab assignments, so science department leads can fully optimize the time students spend on-site in high-demand physical laboratories.

"We’re beyond thrilled to be recognized by the Tech Edvocate Awards, a true testament to the relentless dedication of our Labster team. This award fuels our mission to democratize science and healthcare education globally, breaking down barriers to quality learning. Now more than ever, we’re committed to innovating and expanding our platform, setting students on a trajectory for success in STEM, from high school to college and beyond," said Michael Bodekaer Jensen, CEO of Labster.

The Tech Edvocate Awards highlight the edtech tools, organizations, and individuals that best serve and support today's students and educators. Tech Edvocate Award winners were determined by a panel of edtech thought leaders, PreK-college educators and administrators, and PreK–12 parents. Judges evaluated entries based on whether the product design was based on research, whether teachers were involved in product development, and to what degree the product could be considered scalable, flexible, engaging, and unique.
